UCSD Extension



UCSD Extension offers three Professional Certificates for accounting and finance professionals - Accounting, Finance and Fraud Examination. Each certificate is designed to prepare candidates in both theory and practical skills. If you are just looking to brush up your skills or transition your career - UCSD can help!

Accounting: The California State Board of Accountancy is seeking 36 quarter units each of accounting and business related courses to sit for the Certified Public Accountant Exam. For those who did not get a degree in accounting, this certificate will satisfy the 36 quarter units required. Finance: The curriculum is patterned after the educational requirements for the highly regarded credentials - the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Fraud Examination: Designed to assist professionals with anti-fraud and forensic responsibilities, this certificate prepares accountants, auditors and financial officers to focus on fraud discovery and prevention. Upon completion of the certificate, candidates will be well prepared to sit for the Certified Fraud Examination (CFE).
