Title Effective Job Search
Description Online postings? Recruiters? Networking events? Friend referrals?

What is the most effective way to conduct a job search? How do I get into San Diego's top employers? How do I stand out from my competition?

These questions and more will be answered in our April panel discussion. Our group of panelists have seen it all and include two representatives from San Diego's top employers.

Our Panel Moderator is Ken Schmitt of TurningPoint Executive Search. Ken has been placing mid and senior level financial professionals for over 11 years. Combining his 7 years of experience working for local and national contingent firms with his 3+ years at Heidrick & Struggles, a global retained executive search firm, Ken created a truly unique organization. His vision is simple: to build Southern California’s leading resource for financial and operational professionals by offering unique career opportunities, providing personalized coaching, and driving corporate success.

Sandy Merein has 8 years in the Recruiting & Staffing Field, has a consistent track record of Top Performance for both Sales and leadership over his previous companies. and was featured in Jobing.com as a “Force to be reckoned with”, article about hiring and success in the industry.

Tana Williams is the Lead Recruiter with Nuvasive, Inc. and has spearheaded the recruitment effort of 300+ in global growth in the last two years. She is the current President of the NHRA San Diego Board of Directors and has 10 years experience in recruitment and headhunting expertise. Prior companies include Edward Jones, Fair Isaac, Citigroup.

Judy Michell has 20 years of experience in Human Resources management in a variety of industries ranging from electronic manufacturing to biotechnology. Currently she is a Certified Associate for Lee Hecht Harrison leading career transition workshops and coaching individuals on how to effectively utilize job search tools to successfully discover rewarding employment. Judy was the Director of Human Resources for Neurocrine Biosciences. When she joined the organization 10 years ago she successfully partnered with their leaders to develop and maintain an entrepreneurial culture capable of attracting, retaining and developing initially 80 primarily research scientist to approximately 600 high performing research, development, administrative and commercial professionals.
